The Lake Cumberland Thunder Run is Here!
Our great friend and contributor Justin Lucas along with his partner Dan Weiss and their entire team work hard all year long to create a special boating event for everyone. The Lake Cumberland Thunder Run is this weekend and it has all the ingredients to be the best ever officially hosted Lake-Cumberland Powerboat-Club and Ryan Coxx.
Now staged out of the familiar and always fun State Dock this new venue for the Thunder is is sure to bring even more boats, people and above all fun! There is still room available so if your ready for a last minute weekend run head to Lake Cumberland and if you cant make it to the run then make sure you are buying the great apparel and other event sway online RIGHT HERE!
Here is the rundown of the entire weekends schedule! Have fun and BeSafe!
Friday, June 15th (CST)
11:00 am- 6:00 pm: Fun run/ lunch run/ bonus chip stop. Participants may choose to eat lunch at State Dock or Wolf Creek before departing to the bonus chip stop at 76 Falls **BONUS CHIP BOAT WILL BE MARKED WITH A RED CLOUD BUSTER BALLOON AND WILL BE IN PLACE FROM 12:00 PM UNTIL 4:00 PM** Pick up your chip and hang out at the falls!! (Friday lunch is not included in your registration)
4:00 pm- 8:00 pm: 2018 Thunder Run Soundoff stereo competition judging
6:00 pm- 9:00 pm: Pre registration and meet and greet
8:00 pm- 12:00 am: Live entertainment provided by Ryan Coxx and Friends
Saturday, June 16th (CST)
9:00 am- 10:30: Registration
11:00 am: Drivers meeting
Morning Departure Schedule
11:30 am: Yellow Group 100 MPH and over
11:35 am: Red Group 75-100 MPH
11:40 am: Green Group under 75 MPH
11:45 am: Blue Group under 75 MPH
11:50 am: Black Group under 75 MPH/ Cruiser Class
Card Stops
1st: Conley Bottom Resort
2nd: Burnside area boat provided by Hilltop Marine marked with a red Cloudbuster balloon. Exact location will be briefed during the drivers meeting.
3rd: (lunch stop): Wolf Creek Marina (lunch for participants will be served from 12:00 to 2:30)
4th: Beaver Creek
After you pick up your chip at Beaver Creek head to Harmon Creek for the raft up!!
5th: State Dock Marina (you will receive your last card at
card turn in)
5:00 pm- 8:00 pm: Card turn in at State Dock
5:00 pm- 9:00 pm: Dinner provided by TX Roadhouse
8:30 pm: Gohaffers drawing, award’s and prize ceremony
9:00 pm: Live entertainment provided by Ryan Coxx and Friends
