Along with supporting a great cause the Florida Powerboat Club coordinated PowerBoats on Display during the 27th annual Toys is the Sun Run held in Fort Lauderdale this past weekend.
Stu Jones , in addition to producing the PowerBoating in Paradise TV show is now producing Paradise Riders and the cross over between boats and bikes couldn’t be a greater opportunity to expand the appeal of performance powerboats to a huge new market.
On the grounds in front of the stage with the Charlie Daniels Band, Bad Company, and host of other local bands the crowd of 40,000 plus were able to see the PowerBoat Nation 38 CIGARETTE RACING TEAM Top Gun. A 42 and 52 MTI Catamarans set up by Xtreme Powerboats of Miami, and a 36 XRT Sunsation presented by Doller Offshore.
This event is attended by a wide demographic of powersports enthusiasts and sponsored by the biggest names in the industry. In addition to bringing in toys for needed children they also raise thousands of dollars for the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
On site we head the great opportunity to see many of our boating friends who are also bikers and talk throngs of bikers who are attracted to the boating lifestyle.
If you think this isn’t the right demographic to attract new younger boat buyers think again because we have proof this works. A biker recently bought the 482 Skater and another one recently bought a CIGARETTE.
Another example of our coordinated efforts of engagement to bring new blood to the world of Powerboating. A big hand of thanks to Stu and Jackie Jones of the Florida Powerboat Club, Larry Goldman of Xtreme Marine and Mindi Doller from Doller Offshore for all of the support.
