There is no boat show like the Miami International Boat Show! The initial reports are that this years show has again broken an attendance record with over 100,000 people coming to the show making it by far one of the largest and most popular marine industry shows in the world.
The on-water display and demo area this year was bigger than ever and was home to a more than just a few incredible displays like HCB Center Console Yachts , Nor-Tech, Sunsation, Skater, and the Cigarette Racing Team that debuted their Mercedes-AMG collaboration, Project ONE.
In addition to checking out all the boats along the docks, the vendor displays on land were so numerous and huge it took hours to take it all in. Hundreds of boats, engines, and every part you can imagine lined the inside of the tents providing everyone the perfect place to inspect and ask knowledgeable staff any questions. The Volvo Penta display at this years show was incredible and my guess is they will again win an award for their display.
Of course the always popular and sought out Team from Powerboat Nation was all over the show and again the Powerboat Nation Girls were a Boat Show sensation, and our Rock the Boat Show party at E11EVEN Miami was bigger and better than last year, truly an epic event with a entertainment show that is beyond the ability of any eloquent vocabulary to describe. The Miami International Boat Show is the Super Bowl of Boat Shows and it showed this year.
The two delta’s were how terrible the transportation can be and how long you had to wait. This year the wait times were the out of control for the water taxi when leaving the event. Where was the Powerboat Nation Booth. Stuck back in J-Tent( the only tent without a sign on it) we were again inundated with phones calls and text messages from so many people asking were to find us. We hope NMMA will address these issues for next year.
