Show Management and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida have officially signed an agreement guaranteeing the production of the annual Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show over the next 30 years.
“Our marine industry has become a prominent job creator, and our region is a world-leading marine sales, refit and repair hub,” MIASF executive director Phil Purcell said in a statement. “This agreement assures the show’s future leadership presence in our region and within the marine community.”
Since first producing the boat show in 1976, Show Management has become the leader in producing specialized boat shows. Owned by Active Interest Media since 2006 the company has maid steady progress in the industry.
“The success of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has been made possible through the close partnership among the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, the city of Fort Lauderdale, Broward County and Show Management,” said Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, chairman of Active Interest Media and president of Show Management, which Active Interest Media bought in 2006. “It simply would not be possible without the dedication of all parties involved.”
“All of us at Show Management are honored to have been selected to operate the show through 2046 and will continue dedicating all of our resources to ensure that FLIBS remains the largest and best boat show in the world,” Zimbalist added.
The next Ft Lauderdale International Boat Show will be taking place November 3-7. Setting itself apart as the largest in-water boat show in the world, we’re truly excited to see what’s in store for this year… and the next 30!
