The Atlantic Museum opening on the seafloor of Las Coloradas Bay is one-of-a-kind. Designed by international artist Jason deCaires, the underwater museum is exactly as it sounds, underwater, and only accessible to snorkelers, divers, and sea life. The inspiration behind the design is the “defense of sea life” and is a protest to the deteriorating condition of the ocean. All of the “exhibits” are submerged between depths of 12 and 15 meters and feature various formations and concepts.
