Not even a a Tropical Storm could keep this year’s 2017 Texas Outlaw Challenge from being a Texas sized success. This year brought all of the usual events, but it’s the major changes that really took the event to the next level.
The most noticeable of all of the changes was the switch to a new lake for the National Shootout Championship. And while TOC’s organizers have always managed to conduct a safe and perfectly executed event, there are always the new challenges and uncertainties that come with a shift as major as this.
But the TOC team’s ability to adjust and deliver on the promised changes perfectly, made the National Shootout Championship better than ever this year. With over 200 boats registered this year including boats running under 100mph which are now allowed to enter, as well as the calm waters and larger viewing area for spectators made this the year you definitely didn’t want to miss!
But don’t forget about the other events that make this a Texas sized event! The pool party at Kenny’s was off the hook, boasting the largest attendance ever and tons of fun for everyone that came. The poker run itself was also a huge success again with more boats registered than ever before and the Texas camaraderie was in full effect making it outstanding and unbelievably fun!
